SRA Gala Dinner 2025
The SRA Gala Dinner 2025 brought together top retailers and industry leaders — including Minister Low Yen Ling — to celebrate innovation in Singapore’s retail scene.
I was part of the Nanyang Polytechnic team supporting the event, working closely with SRA representatives to make sure every detail ran smoothly, from pre-event packing to guest management on the night itself.

Day 1 — Preparation & Setup
Day 1 was all about preparation. My team and I packed over 700 goodie bags for VIP and guest attendees, set up registration areas, and ensured every table was ready for the event.
It taught me how much behind-the-scenes coordination goes into professional events — and how important teamwork and time management are when everything has to be perfect by showtime.

Day 2 — Event Day
On the night of the Gala, I worked closely with SRA representatives to usher guests and award recipients to the stage.
It was a full house — from retail professionals to Minister Low Yen Ling — and every detail mattered.
Coordinating under time pressure taught me how to stay calm and professional, even when things moved quickly behind the scenes.
Seeing the event come alive after all our preparation was an incredible feeling.

Reflection
This experience gave me a real look at event management. It showed that the importance of a smooth event was the teamwork and clear communication. After the Gala, I felt proud knowing I played a part in something that represented Singapore’s retail industry at a national level.
