These experiences were a big part of my TEP journey.
They took me out of the classroom and into real industry settings — Exploring a coffee farm, presenting to industry leaders, and joining a masterclass at TikTok HQ.

MyLiberica Coffee Farm visit
Visiting My Liberica’s coffee plantation was a really unique experience. I got to see how coffee is grown, processed, and prepared.

Fun fact: They keep their coffee trees at a maximum height of around 2.5m so the farmers can maintain and harvest them easily.
I also tried their freshly roasted beans (super pure) and even sampled their cacao products. This visit reminded me how much work goes into something we enjoy every day. It made me appreciate the effort behind the entire supply chain and the people keeping it alive.
Industry Presentation to NYP Leaders
As part of my TEP, I presented to industry leaders about NYP’s Omni-Channel Retail Centre, featuring our very own lifestyle retail store — D’Studio. I shared how our team applied what we learned over the past two years to run a full retail operation, from understanding customer needs to managing online and offline sales.
It was a meaningful experience that reminded me how everything we learn in class connects to the real world.

TikTok HQ Masterclass @ ByteDance
We visited TikTok’s office at 1 Raffles Quay for a masterclass on how TikTok Shop works. The team showed us how creators plan content, use affiliate marketing, and the kind of tools they rely on.
It was really useful, especially since we used what we learned here to teach the students during the 3-Day Bootcamp.
The office itself was really nice, with a connected open pantry. This really made me think, "Maybe working here one day wouldn't be too bad"
